Blog Tour: The Summer of Serendipity by Ali McNamara

Today I am part of the blog tour for Ali McNamara’s new book The Summer of Serendipity. The Cover is so stunning! When I received a copy to review, I couldn’t wait to jump in… I am such a fan of all of Ali’s books and I knew this wasn’t going to disappoint me.

A bit about the book…
One summer, property seeker, Serendipity Parker finds herself on the beautiful west coast of Ireland, hunting for a home for a wealthy Irish client. But when she finds the perfect house in the small town of Ballykiltara, there’s a problem; nobody seems to know who owns it.
‘The Welcome House’ is a local legend. Its front door is always open for those in need of shelter, and there’s always a plentiful supply of food in the cupboards for the hungry or poor.
While Ren desperately tries to find the owner to see if she can negotiate a sale, she begins to delve deeper into the history and legends that surround the old house and the town. But for a woman who has always been focussed on her work, she’s remarkably distracted by Finn, the attractive manager of the local hotel.
But will she ever discover the real truth behind the mysterious ‘Welcome House’? Or will the house cast its magical spell over Ren and help her to find true happiness?

I loved reading this so much!! I couldn’t put the book down, It was great reading about Serendipity and her adventures with Kiki in Ballykiltara… I was so intrigued with the goings on with ‘The Welcome House’ it kept me guessing right until the very end who could be behind it.

My Favourite Character has to be Kiki as she is just bonkers but in a really good way! Kiki and Ren really make me giggle throughout the book! Reading about Ballykiltara really makes me want to book a holiday to Ireland!

If anyone has read Ali’s Breakfast at Darcy’s then you will read about some familiar characters in this new fab book! It was so great to see what them Characters are upto these days!

Ali’s writing style is so great, she always has her readers hooked with every chapter and she describes places/towns so amazing that you really do wish you could be there too! ( Even if it is a made up island hehe! ) I can never fault her books, Ali McNamara is one of my favourite authors for sure! I’m always recommending her to all my friends!

The Summer of Serendipity is definitely a perfect summer read this year!
I give it 4.5 stars for just being truly fabulous, full of adventure, laughter and some great characters too!
Go Grab a copy now!!

Ali McNamara attributes her over-active and very vivid imagination to one thing – being an only child. Time spent dreaming up adventures when she was young has left her with a head bursting with stories waiting to be told.

When stories she wrote for fun on Ronan Keating’s website became so popular they were sold as a fundraising project for his cancer awareness charity, Ali realised that not only was writing something she enjoyed doing, but something others enjoyed reading too. | @AliMcNamara

Blog Tour: The One Real Thing by Samantha Young

Title: The One Real Thing
Author: Samantha Young
Publisher: Piatkus Books
Published: 6th September 2016

Today I have the joy of being part of the blog tour for Samantha Young’s new book which came out yesterday The One Real Thing.Thank You to Clara @ Piatkus for asking me to be part of the blog tour.
Hart’s Boardwalk is a new series by Samantha, totally separate from her On Dublin Street series. I am a big fan of Sam’s books so I went into reading this with open arms.

Welcome to Hartwell, a quiet seaside escape where uncovering old secrets could lead one woman to discover the meaning of a love that lasts…

In The One Real Thing we meet Doctor Jessica Huntington who has a job at the women’s correctional prison, is always careful to avoid emotional attachments in her personal life. Having loss & betrayal taught her a valuable lesson long ago.. but when she finds a set of old love letters in the prison’s library, she books a trip to the picturesque town of Hartwell to deliver them to the intended recipient but totally see’s herself falling for the town’s charm and also a very attractive owner of a local bar proves equally hard to deny.

Since his divorce from his unfaithful ex-wife, Cooper Lawson has focused on what really matters: his family and the boardwalk pub they’ve owned for generations. But the first time Jessica steps into his bar, Cooper is beyond tempted to risk his heart on her. Yet as their attraction grows hotter and Jessica remains stubbornly closed off, he begins to realize it will take more than just passion to convince her there’s only one real thing in life worth fighting for…

I really enjoyed getting to know Jessica & Cooper so much. Cooper seems like such a hunk and has so much love to give to someone but has been burned in the past until he meets Doctor Jessica and they seem to click.

Reading all about Hartwell the picturesque seaside town really brought it all into life and I really wish I could visit the place if it was real!  I always love reading Sam’s stories as her writing style always seems to bring the characters and the area to life so you feel like your right there with the characters.

The One Real Thing is fantastic and I cannot wait to read more of this series & the characters again..I feel there is so much this seaside town has to tell us..

Book Review: This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Title: This Man
Author: Jodi Ellen Malpas
Publisher: Orion Publishing
Publication Date: 10th October 2013

Young interior designer Ava O’Shea has an appointment for a first consultation at The Manor with the owner, Mr Jesse Ward. She is expecting nothing more than an overweight, cravat wearing, well-to-do countryman, and on arrival, nothing would suggest otherwise.
How wrong could she be? This Man is devastatingly handsome, charming and confident. He is also a conceited, hedonistic playboy, who knows no boundaries.
Ava desperately does not want to be attracted to him, but she can’t control the overwhelming effect he has on her. Every instinct is telling her to run, so she does, but Jesse Ward is not so willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her. She knows she is heading for heartbreak, but how can she run when he won’t let her?

I had never heard of Jodi or her books until I was shopping in Asda the other weekend with my friend Zoe and we saw all 3 books in the series part of the 2 for £7 so we both grabbed them both anyone else could snap them up.
I will hold my hands up and admit I do love a good smutty book ever since reading the Fifty shades series and also the crossfire series.
Within reading a few chapters of This Man I knew I was going to be hooked and certainly falling in love with the characters and also not being able to put the book down, which is exactly what happened!

I dont want to give too much away with this book as I feel you just need to grab the book and read it for yourself as i can promise you will be sucked in.

The writing style of Jodi’s books definitely know how to entice her readers and get sucked right into the stories. I really loved reading about Jesse and Ava, although I felt at times Jesse was a bit too much, possessive, arrogant pig at times which kind of put me off while reading this however I was intrigued what would happen between Jesse and Ava which got me curious to carry on reading. It’s not for the faint hearted I must say though.

I am most certainly on Central Jesse Cloud Nine after finishing this book. Its intense and will keep you hooked from the go. I highly recommend to read this series you won’t regret it.
If you have read this series already. they a must read right away!!
5 stars all the way!!
